Kitty Corner – Colorblocked Layers

Man, the weather’s been nuts lately, no? One day it’s 80 and sunny, then it’s 40 and rainy. I find myself dressing in layers to make sure I’m comfortable throughout the day. I start out with my favorite printed trench coat:

I love the classic shape paired with the fun colors and prints. I get tons of comments on it – I’m never really sure if they’re complements or just, ‘wow! that’s a bright coat!’

A cozy scarf can help keep me warm in the morning – and then by mid monring, I can peel off a layer!

‘Cause then it’s warm enough that I can lean against giant trees!

…I’m kidding, of course. This gorgeous tree is in MSU’s Beal Garden that I visited with my very talented photog friend, Allie Osmar Siarto who took my pics. Amazing location scouting, no? Thanks, Allie!

And then, by the end of my work day, I’m ready to pull off that last layer

    Ha – you would! We always like the same things! I almost bought it in orange, but have a coral shirtdress too, and decided they were too similar.

    This trench is on fire girl. I love prints and this one is screaming my name!! The colors compliment each other so well. There’s something about navy blue that’s sooo chic! Awesome Color Brigade!
