First segment (00:00 – 11:24):
Summer’s here, and the time is right for…ice cream. No, not dancing (or dancin’) in the streets. Daniel talks about his favorite summer treat: Blue Moon ice cream. Kat talks about the first ever Take a Ginger to Dinner Day. Yeah, it’s a thing–in her own mind.
Second segment (11:47 – 30:14):
Julie Mann talks about how she’s helping people get back to work with The Rock Star Factory. Looking for a job? Julie helps pair talent with employers. Search for a job on her site, or post your resume. Julie also shares a few interview and resume tips.
Third segment (30:16 – 40:39):
Brendan Dwyer from the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau talks about this Saturday’s Be a Tourist in Your Own Town and shares some of his favorite spots to visit, including the Bug House at Michigan State University–plus, where you can pick up a Passport, which grants you access to over 60 attractions, for only $1.
Fourth segment (41:02 – 54:46) :
What is going on around Lansing! There’s the Board of Water and Light Chili Cook Off on Saturday, as well as Chalk of the Town in Old Town (Daniel will be a judge). Daniel also talks, at length, about his first triathlon this Sunday. Wish him luck. He’ll need it–he fell off his bike while training on Monday.

Notes from the Geek:
Yes, I will be a judge at Chalk of the Town this Saturday in Old Town. So bone up those drawing skills, kids. And if I don’t survive the triathlon, I want y’all to know I love all of you. Except that one guy. Y’know, the one with the hat? He knows who he is.
I mean it,
Daniel (the Geek)
