First segment (00:00 – 13:29):
Kat will put her fashion skills to the Ultimate Test for the 30 for 30 Remix Challenge–no buying new clothes for a whole month! Lansing’s economy will take notice. Speaking of fashion, Daniel survived his first triathlon–thanks in part to his ultra-slimming wetsuit.
Second segment (13:53 – 35:43):
Whitney Spotts from Schuler Books (and Lansing NOISE) has a summer reading list–but this ain’t yer grandma’s summer reading list. Unless grandma is into vampires, post-apocalyptic futures, psychopaths or homes for peculiar children. Whitney’s list features quirky and ‘off the beaten’ path titles for your pool or beach reading pleasure.
Third segment (35:46 – 45:24):
Mark Buzzitta from the Capital Area District Library (CADL) has all the details on the Geek the Library campaign–plus, next Tuesday is GeekFest at the downtown library branch (and it is free!). Kat and Daniel had photos taken for Geek the Library, and will be featured on posters and signs (their photos were taken by Dave Trumpie).
Fourth segment (45:26 – 1:02:43) :
Lansing blogger Suban Nur Cooley comes back to share an update on her blog, Poppy on a Kite. Look out Kat, Suban is about to venture into fashion territory! Meanwhile, Daniel rambles on about Duran Duran, the Monkees, Liquid Paper, and how they relate to MTV.
And then he caps it all off with an impression of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. Quality entertainment. Go wake up the kids, they won’t wanna miss this.
Fifth Segment (1:02:46 – 1:12:16) :
Congrats to our Photo Caption Contest winner, Tiffany Swartz! She won a Lansing Derby Vixens sticker. Check out our Facebook page for future giveaways, contests, and other fun.
Events around Lansing, and Daniel shares his thoughts on X-Men: First Class.

Notes from the Geek:
I’m super excited about Geek the Library–I can’t wait to see my face around town. I apologize in advance for any accidents it causes. And ladies, I’m flattered but spoken for. I will try to make an appearance at GeekFest next Tuesday, so say hi if you see me there.
GarageBand was being a jerk while editing this episode, so if anything sounds weird, that is why. This is the reason I didn’t have a stinger for this episode. Sorry gang. I hope not to have the same problems next week–but, iffen I do, I have a work around figured out. All I need is some bamboo, a jug of glue and a lathe.
“Poppies!,”
